SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track and field team won 11 events and had four NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the SRU Invitational Thursday at the William Lennox Track at The Rock.
Â
Slippery Rock hosted its third and final home meet of the season on a frigid and blustery day that saw a much smaller field in attendance compared to the first two home meets, with athletes representing eight institutions taking part Thursday.
Â
The Rock won all but one field event and only failed to pick up a win in three total events that SRU had athletes entered in.
Â
The NCAA provisional marks came from four athletes that already had NCAA marks this spring, none of which improved on their former mark thanks to challenging weather conditions.
Â
Danielle Collier took top honors in the javelin with an NCAA provisional throw of 47.93 meters, well off her SRU record and NCAA automatic mark of 50.72 meters set last week.
Trinity Clark was second with an NCAA provisional mark of 43.84 meters, also well off her season-best of 48.78 meters from last week.
Skylar Sherry took third with a throw of 40.99 meters and
Kaitlyn Lander was fifth at 27.28 meters.
Â
Kendall Grossman matched her season-best to win the pole vault, which was moved indoors to Morrow Field House due to unsafe conditions created by the strong winds at the stadium. Grossman cleared an NCAA provisional height of 3.68 meters.
Olivia Sentle,
Heidi Bednarz and
Sarah Schneider all cleared 3.23 meters to finish in a tie for third.
Â
The final NCAA mark came from
Reagan Hess, who won the long jump with a leap of 5.80 meters, which is shy of her season-best of 5.95 meters but came on a pass into a headwind of more than 1.0 meter per second.
Samantha Gilbert was third in the event with a leap of 5.25 meters.
Â
Jena Reinheimer picked up a pair of wins with victories in the hammer throw (49.14 meters) and discus (40.24 meters).
Rachel Hutchinson was second in the hammer (46.99 meters) and third in the discus (36.56 meters), while
Tiffany Jolayemi was fourth in the discus (35.30 meters) and fifth in the hammer (40.05 meters) and
Natasha Davis was fifth in the discus (34.36 meters).
Â
Kamryn Snyder and
Sarah Corrie wrapped up the top performances in the throws with Snyder taking second in the shot put with a toss of 11.86 meters and Corrie placing fourth at 11.78 meters.
Â
Cecily Greggs took the top spot in the high jump with a clearance of 1.56 meters and
Ashanti Richardson claimed the top honor in the triple jump with a leap of 11.06 meters. Richardson also won the 100-meter dash in 13.08 seconds and was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.15 seconds.

Morgan Donatelli in third in 26.44 seconds.
Â
The final individual win on the track came in the 1,500-meter run, where
Anna Igims pulled away from the field with a time of 4:59.04.
Bailey Flood was third in 5:26.08, followed by
Madison Murtland in fourth in 5:29.48 and
Carlie Seibert in fifth in 5:34.82.
Â

Courtney Nunley, Allyston Stitzer, Speigle and Donatelli cruised to a win in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:07.73.
