2021 Spring Sports Spectator Attendance Protocols

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University has announced that effective April 5 it will expand the total number of approved spectators allowed to attend athletic events this spring. Details regarding the spectator policy for all sports can be found here.

Slippery Rock developed the policy linked above and detailed below to comply with current national, state, NCAA, PSAC and SRU guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be strictly enforced and individuals not in compliance will be removed from events.

KEY POINTS / UPDATES
- SRU student-athletes and coaches in all sports will be given four (4) tickets to each home event.
- Visiting teams in all sports but track and field will be given two (2) tickets per student-athlete and coach.
- No visiting team track and field fans will be admitted.
- SRU students, faculty and staff with proper SRU ID will be admitted to events.
- SRU student-athletes must submit the names of the individuals receiving their tickets to the athletics administration before 10 a.m. on game day for all sports with the exception of track and field. The track and field deadline will be midnight the day before competition. Student-athletes must submit names through the ARMS system.
- Visiting teams will submit their pass list through the coaching staff of each team by game day.
- Anyone not on the approved list for each event will not be admitted.
- All fans will be temperature checked, screened and given a wristband at the gate.
- All fans will be required to wear masks the entire duration of their time inside SRU facilities.

TICKET ALLOTMENTS PER SRU STUDENT-ATHLETE
All SRU student-athletes in all sports, including the indoor sports, will now be granted four tickets for events.

ENTRY/EXIT AREAS
- Fans for all sports but track & field will use the main gate area at all SRU facilities.
- Track & field fans will use Gate 6 at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium for entry and exit and will be limited to certain areas in the stadium (
see diagram here).

EVENT POLICIES
- No tailgating allowed at any events.
- Gates will open 60 minutes prior to the announced start of the event.
- Fans will be temperature checked at the gate. Guests of student-athletes need to be on the pre-approved list to be admitted.
- Fans will be required to wear masks at all times while inside SRU facilities.
- There will be no concessions provided this spring.
- Fans will be required to stay socially distanced from each other inside facilities.
- There will be no access to student-athletes or mingling with student-athletes and team personnel before or after events.
- Fans will be required to vacate the facility within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the event.
- Any spectator refusing to comply with the policy will be immediately removed from the facility or denied entry. The policy will be strictly enforced.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY MEASURES
- Signage will be placed throughout facilities encouraging social distancing.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout facilities.
- Any high touch areas will be frequently cleaned before, during and after events.

LIVE COVERAGE
- The SRU athletic communication office will provide live statistics for all home baseball, softball, women's lacrosse and track & field competitions this spring.
- Efforts will be made to provide as much live video broadcasting on the
Rock Athletics Digital Network as staffing, weather and facility setup will allow.
- All live coverage options for home and away events will be posted to each sport's respective schedule page and shared in event preview stories that will be posted to
www.RockAthletics.com before each competition/event/series. This spectator information will also be shared in every preview for home events this spring.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
We anticipate there could be a large number of schedule changes this spring, including some that could be last-minute related to weather and/or COVID-19 testing results. All schedule changes will be announced as soon as possible on our official Twitter account (
@Rock_Athletics) and will be posted to the website at
www.RockAthletics.com. Please check the schedule page for each respective sport for the latest updates and please understand that schedules this spring are subject to changes.

AWAY GAMES
This policy outlined above pertains to events hosted by Slippery Rock University. Fans interested in attending SRU away games will need to abide by the attendance policies established by hosting institutions.
