SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University offensive tackle Jake Tecak was named to second team All-America honors when the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association announced the 2021 D2CCA All-America team this week.
 
Tecak was not listed on the initial D2CCA team that was announced earlier this week, but was added Friday evening after discovering a tie in the final voting.
 
The senior right tackle from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania joins receiver Henry Litwin on the D2CCA All-America team and becomes the third Slippery Rock player to be recognized as a member of at least one All-America team so far this postseason, along with defensive end Chad Kuhn, who was on the Associated Press All-America team with Litwin.
 
Tecak started all but one game over the last two seasons for Slippery Rock, playing primarily at the right tackle position. Earlier this fall he picked up first team All-PSAC and All-Region honors for his efforts in blocking for one of the nation's top offensive units.
 
This fall, The Rock offense put up 478.5 total yards per game, which included 345.3 passing yards per game and led to 38.9 points per game. Slippery Rock ranks second in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and 10th in scoring offense with those numbers.
 
SRU also had one of the best offenses in the nation in 2019, averaging 501.7 total yards, 329.9 passing yards and 46.2 points per game.
 
In two years with Tecak as a starting tackle, The Rock averaged 42.8 points, 337.0 passing yards and 491.0 total yards of offense per game.
 
A four-year member of the team, Tecak helped Slippery Rock to three straight PSAC West titles, three trips to the NCAA Playoffs, two trips to the national quarterfinals and one trip to the national semifinals over the last four seasons. The Rock averaged more than 10 wins per season during the last four years with 41 wins from 2017-21.
