Rock cruises by Seton Hill 78-54

Slippery Rock got back in the win column with a convincing 78-54 win Saturday at Seton Hill.

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team got back in the win column with a convincing 78-54 win on the road at Seton Hill University Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division game.
 
The Rock never trailed in the game on the way to improving to 7-8 overall and 3-6 in PSAC games. Seton Hill dropped to 2-10 overall and 1-8 in PSAC games with the loss.
 
Slippery Rock scored the first seven points of the game and jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the first five minutes. Seton Hill would cut the deficit to five points later in the opening half before The Rock pushed the advantage back out to double figures and comfortably led the rest of the way.
 
SRU shot 54.5 percent from the field (30-of-55), 69.2 percent from 3-point (9-of-13), 56.3 percent from the free throw line (9-of-16) and outrebounded Seton Hill by a 42-30 margin.
 
Will Robinson Jr. scored 16 points in the first half and finished with a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds. Micah Till added 16 points and seven rebounds and Amante Britt scored 12 points and handed out six assists to cap the top scorers for SRU.
 
Revelinio Tholel scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds, Deontae Robertson scored seven points and pulled down 13 rebounds and Donovan Walker scored seven points.
 
Seton Hill shot 36.7 percent from the field (22-of-60), 18.8 percent from 3-point (3-of-16) and 46.7 percent from the free throw line (7-of-15).
 
Nathan Davis led the Griffins with 12 points and Jimmy Moon added 11 points and seven rebounds as the only other SHU player in double figures.
 
Slippery Rock will turn its focus to hosting Millersville University Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. for the final PSAC crossover game of the year.
