DAY 4
Day Four in Costa Rica provided us quite diverse options. Half of our team elected to stay around our hotel and enjoy a relaxing day of swimming, exploring and bonding while the other half bonded in a much more extreme way by daring to capitalize on the opportunity to white water raft in the clear rivers of Costa Rica.
Â
As the team met back up at the hotel we prepared for our second match of the trip at an incredible stadium against San Carlos. It was unlike any game any of us had ever played in. When we walked into the stadium and saw the glorious sunset over the mountains there was an immediate downpour of hard, heavy and loud rain.
Â
This storm was nothing out of the ordinary for our opponents since it's the rainy season in Costa Rica. However, no rain could stop our squad from winning the match 4-0. After the match, we stood humbled and honored as the coaches spoke to both teams on how important it is to be exposed to a variety of cultures, languages, styles and traditions.
Â
With grateful hearts, and soaking wet everything else, we accepted a table full of fresh fruit provided by the club. We are so incredibly fortunate to be immersed in this environment where we learn, grow and flourish not only as a team, but inside ourselves as well. Day four was definitely one to cherish. We're looking forward to the rest of our journey. Pura Vida!

DAY 5
¡Hola todos!
On our fifth day we spent the morning at Sky Adventures on a canopy zip-line tour. On our way, our amazing bus driver, Fernando, spotted two adorable sloths sleeping in trees. Several of the players were astounded by this sight because we have never seen a sloth in real life.Â
Throughout our zip-line tour we experienced the exhilarating thrill of zip-lining through the rainforest with breathtaking views of Costa Rica. As we continued through the exotic course, one of our tour guides, David, challenged one of us to a race down parallel lines. Naturally, The Rock was victorious.
During the afternoon, we headed to Pacific Beach and traveled through a variety of scenic routes that embodied the beauty in which Costa Rica offers, such as the farm lands, the tropical rainforest, the mountains of Nicaragua and the pacific coast.Â
We finally arrived at our third destination in Tamarindo, where we will spend the next few days. We closed out our evening watching the beautiful sunset and taking a dip in the Pacific Ocean.
We are all very grateful and blessed for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in such an extraordinary country. We have made so many memories in just the past few days and we can't wait to continue making memories throughout the rest of the trip and this upcoming season!Â
