THE GAME
No. 8 Slippery Rock and No. 13 Kutztown both bring matching 10-0 records into the PSAC Championship game for the first time in their respective program histories. The winner of this game will be the only undefeated team in Super Region One and claim the league title, but will also lock up the No. 1 seed in the NCAA playoffs and the first round bye that comes with it.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Slippery Rock owns a 10-3 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1984. The Rock won the first eight meetings in the series before Kutztown got on the board with back-to-back wins in 2011 and 2012. SRU picked up wins in 2013 and 2014 before Kutztown halted that streak with a 42-34 win in the most recent meeting at Kutztown in the final week of the 2017 season. That loss knocked SRU out of the NCAA playoffs. All three of Kutztown's wins in the series have been one-possession victories.

• First Meeting: 1984 (SRU won 21-6)
• Last Meeting: 2017 (SRU won 42-34)
• Current Streak: KU +1
• at KU: SRU leads 5-2
• at SRU: SRU leads 5-1
• Most Points Scored by KU: 56 (2012)
• Largest Win Margin by KU: 8 (2017)
• Most Points Scored by SRU: 68 (1999)
• Largest Win by SRU: 48 (2013)
• Last SRU Win: 2014 at SRU (37-26)

PSAC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Slippery Rock is making its 12th overall appearance in a PSAC Championship game (game was played from 1960-87, was eliminated from 1987-07, then reinstated in 2008). The Rock are making their sixth appearance in the title game since it was reinstated by the league in 2008, the most of any program in the conference. SRU is playing in its fifth PSAC title game in the last seven years and its sixth since the 2011 season. The Rock are 6-5 in their previous 11 title games with their most recent titles coming in back-to-back years in 2014 and 2015. SRU has won 11 overall PSAC championships with five awarded based on record in the years that did not have a title game. Kutztown has one PSAC title to its name, which came in 2011 with a 21-14 win at home over SRU.

PSAC WEST WIN STREAK
Slippery Rock posted perfect 7-0 records against the PSAC Western Division in each of the last two seasons, becoming just the second team in the division to accomplish that since the division expanded to eight teams in 2008 and the first team to do it since Cal U in 2009.  The Rock also closed the 2017 season with a pair of PSAC West wins and will take a 16-game conference winning streak into next season.

10-0 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Slippery Rock is 10-0 for the first time in program history, topping the 1924 team that finished with a 9-0 record for the best start ever. The 1974 team made it through 10 weeks without a loss (finished 9-0-1), but had one tie along the way. The Rock's late 1990s dynasty never started 10-0 due to opening the year on the road at Division I opponents.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Slippery Rock climbed one spot to No. 8 in this week's Division II national poll released by the American Football Coaches Association. The Rock have been ranked no lower than 11th in any poll this season. SRU also moved up one spot to No. 8 in the D2football.com media poll, marking the highest ranking of the season in both polls (complete polls on page nine of the PDF notes linked above).

NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS
More importantly than the national rankings, SRU stayed ranked No. 2 in the third set of NCAA Super Region One rankings that were unveiled this week. The NCAA regional rankings are used to determine the playoff field. Kutztown was still listed at No. 1 this week, meaning that the winner of this week's game will lock up the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. The loser is still likely to get a home game and a top four seed in the playoffs. The playoff field will be announced Sunday at 5 p.m. at ncaa.com.

The Rock had first and goal with a chance to tie at the KU four-yard line with 1:00 to play, but threw four incomplete passes to end the game. SRU turned the ball over four times and allowed 616 total yards of offense, which included 469 passing yards. Offensively, The Rock struggled in the run game with just 39 rushing yards. None of the key offensive players for SRU in that game are on this year's team. Kutztown got seven catches for 135 yards and one score from tight end Jack Pilkerton and 233 all-purpose yards (71 rush, 106 receiving, 56 kick return) and two touchdowns from running back Abdul-Hassan Neblett, who are both key senior contributors for the Golden Bears now. SRU blocked three field goals in that game and Jake Chapla hit both of his FG attempts.

Abdul-Hassan Neblett ran for 83 yards on 15 carries and caught four passes for 88 yards. Darryl Davis-McNeil ran for 88 yards. Erick Nickel completed 17-of-33 passes for 205 yards with one TD and ran for 57 yards and two TDs.

MORE PSAC WEEKLY HONORS FOR SRU

Jake Chapla was named the PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season and the 13th time in his career. Rivers broke the SRU single-season and career TD passing records last week after completing 20-of-26 passes for 293 yards with four TDs and no INT, bringing his single-season tally to 36 TD passes and his career total to 64 TD passes at SRU. Chapla became the all-time leading scorer among kickers in PSAC history with 362 points.

ROCK OFFENSE AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
First-year offensive coordinator Adam Neugebauer and his offense have put up some eye-popping numbers through 10 weeks of the season. The Rock rank first in the nation in passing efficiency (195.2) and fourth down conversions (80.0 percent), second in completion percentage (72.0 percent), third in scoring offense (47.9 points per game), sixth in passing offense (323.3 yards per game) and third down conversions (51.6 percent), seventh in first downs (245), 10th in total offense (499.0 yards per game) and turnovers lost (10) and 12th in red zone scoring (90.4 percent).

RIVERS III BREAKS PAIR OF SRU RECORDS
With four TD passes last week, Roland Rivers III broke the SRU single-season and career passing TD records. His 36 TD passes in 10 games this season broke the former record of 32 that was set by Tanner Garry in 2017 for the most in a single-season. Despite playing just 22 games at SRU so far, Rivers' 64 TD passes in that stretch broke the former SRU career record of 60 that was owned by Nate Crookshank (2004-07).

RIVERS III PUTTING UP THE BEST NUMBERS IN THE NATION
Roland Rivers III has thrown for 3,107 yards with 36 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 72.6 percent of his passes. He has also run for 538 yards and six touchdowns. Rivers ranks first in the nation in passing efficiency (197.6) and points responsible for (254 total, 25.4 per game) and second in passing touchdowns (36). He also ranks second in yards per pass attempt (10.5) and total offense (364.5 yards per game), fourth in completion percentage (72.6 percent) and fifth in passing yards (3,107 total, 310.7 per game).

RIVERS III ON SRU SINGLE-SEASON LISTS
In just 10 games this season, Roland Rivers III has jumped into the top 10 on a number of SRU single-season lists. In addition to his passing TD record of 36, his 310.7 passing yards per game rank third, his 3,107 passing yards rank fourth, his 3,645 yards of total offense rank second, his 215 completions are the sixth most in a single-season and his 296 attempts are seventh on the SRU single-season ledgers.

RIVERS III CLIMBING SRU CAREER LISTS TOO
Roland Rivers III has played in just 22 games in his two years at Slippery Rock and is already up to third on the all-time career passing yardage (5,828) and total offensive yardage (6,963) lists in program history. His 64 touchdown passes are the most in program history. His 64.8 percent completion percentage is the best in program history and his 413 completions rank third all-time. His 637 attempts are the fifth most at SRU.

MORE TD PASSES THAN ANY OTHER QB IN THE NATION
Roland Rivers III threw 19 touchdown passes in two years at Valdosta State before transferring to SRU prior to his junior year last fall. Those TD tosses combined with the 64 he has thrown in 22 games at Slippery Rock give Rivers 83 career TD passes at the DII level, 12 more than any other active QB in the nation. Kutztown's Collin DiGalbo is tied for third among active QBs in Division II with 68 career TD passes.

ACTIVE PASSING TD LEADERS IN DIVISION II
1. Roland Rivers III Slippery Rock 83
2. Preston Haire Oklahoma Baptist 71
3. Willie Chandler West Georgia 68
3. Collin DiGalbo Kutztown 68
3. Bryce Witt Chowan 68

ONLY TWO QBS WITH 7,000 + 1,500
Roland Rivers III has thrown for 7,688 yards and rushed for 1,561 yards for 9,345 total offensive yards during his four-year collegiate career (including two seasons with limited reps at Valdosta State). There are only two active QBs in Division II that have thrown for at least 7,000 yards and rushed for 1,500 yards and they'll face each other for the PSAC title this week – Rivers and Kutztown's Collin DiGalbo (8,327 pass, 1,669 rush, 9,996 total).

TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
Slippery Rock made it through 15 quarters to start the season without a turnover before losing a fumble inside the final three minutes in week four. Since then, The Rock have turned it over nine more times with five interceptions and five fumbles for just 10 total turnovers in 10 games. That number ranks as the 10th fewest turnovers in the nation. SRU also ranks 20th nationally in turnover margin at +0.9 turnovers per game.

TOP RECEIVING CORPS IN THE NATION
The Rock are the only team in the country with three receivers averaging at least 65 yards per game, led by Henry Litwin (96.3 yards per game), Jermaine Wynn Jr. (91.9 yards per game) and Cinque Sweeting (65.7 yards per game). Litwin ranks 13th in the nation in receiving yards (963), while Wynn Jr. ranks 18th (919) and Sweeting ranks 72nd (657). Litwin's 14 TD catches are the third most in the nation, while Wynn's 10 TD grabs rank 15th and Sweeting's nine TDs rank 23rd nationally.

LITWIN LEADING PSAC IN RECEIVING
WR Henry Litwin has career-highs of 66 catches, 963 yards and 14 touchdowns in just 10 games this year. He leads all receivers in the PSAC in yards and touchdowns and ranks second in catches. Litwin's 14 TD catches are the second most in a single-season in SRU history, just one off the program record of 15 held by John Schademan (2013). His 963 yards rank seventh in single-season history at SRU, as do his 66 catches.

LITWIN'S CAREER NUMBERS
Henry Litwin played primarily on special teams in his freshman season in 2017, finishing the year with no catches. After moving into a starting role last fall, Litwin has racked up 117 catches for 1,804 yards with 22 touchdowns over his last 24 games. His 22 TD grabs are the fourth-most in program history and he is on track to shatter the SRU career record of 28 TD catches, set by Greg Hopkins in 1994 and tied by Marcus Johnson in 2017. Litwin's 1,804 yards rank ninth in career history.

WYNN JR. RIGHT BEHIND LITWIN
Jermaine Wynn Jr. ranks second in the PSAC in receiving yards (919), third in TD catches (10) and fifth in receptions (56). His 10 TD grabs are tied for the eighth most in a single-season in SRU history. In 24 games in the SRU lineup, Wynn has pulled down 107 passes for 1,664 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for 562 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman at Alderson Broaddus in 2017 to bring his collegiate career totals to 133 catches for 2,226 yards and 25 touchdowns at the Division II level.

LIT-WYNN COMBINED
Through 24 games in the same lineup, Henry Litwin and Jermaine Wynn Jr. have put up almost identical numbers. They have combined for 224 catches for 3,468 yards and 41 touchdowns. Since they stepped on the field together for the first time in 2018, the duo are collectively averaging 9.3 catches for 144.5 yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game. Litwin has 117 catches for 1,804 yards and 22 TDs and Wynn has 107 catches for 1,664 yards with 19 TDs.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT CINQUE
While Henry Litwin and Jermaine Wynn Jr. rank first and second in the PSAC in receiving yards, Cinque Sweeting has not-so-quietly been racking up yards all over the field as a slot receiver, running back and kick returner. He ranks 11th in the PSAC in receiving yards with 657 yards and ranks fourth in the league with nine touchdown catches. He is also averaging 4.5 yards per carry for 131 yards with two touchdowns in limited work in the backfield and averages 98.7 all-purpose yards per game.

DIXON COMING ON TOO
The Rock's fourth starting receiver, Qaadir Dixon, caught 11 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the first six games of the season combined. Over the last four weeks, however, Dixon is finding some chemistry with Rivers and has caught at least three passes in each game. He has 14 catches for 199 yards and one touchdown over the last four weeks, averaging 49.8 yards per game during that stretch.

RUNNING BACK BY COMMITTEE
Slippery Rock is averaging 175.7 rushing yards per game to rank third best in the PSAC, but The Rock has accomplished that with fresh legs as no running backs have reached 100 carries on the year yet. Only QB Roland Rivers III has more than 100 rushing attempts. Rivers is the leading rusher on the team with 111 carries for 538 yards and six touchdowns. All seven SRU players that have at least 10 carries this year are averaging 4.2 yards or better per carry. Charles Snorweah leads the backs with 463 yards on 92 carries (5.0 YPC) with seven touchdowns. DeSean Dinkins has 237 yards and six touchdowns on 56 carries (4.2 YPC).

SNORWEAH RETURNS
Charles Snorweah missed weeks 8-9 with an injury after rushing for 275 yards over a three-game stretch from weeks 5-7 in which he averaged 5.8 yards per carry in wins over Mercyhurst, Indiana (Pa.) and Edinboro. He returned to the lineup last week and picked up where he left off with 64 rushing yards and one touchdown on just eight carries for an average of 8.0 yards per carry. Snorweah is expected to be at full health this week.

MARETT GETS A SHOT IN THE BACKFIELD
Third string running back Braden Fochtman left last week's game with an injury, which opened the door for slot receiver Cam Marett to get some carries in the fourth quarter. All he did was impress with good vision and a number of strong cuts. Marett finished with 57 yards on 10 carries for an average of 5.7 yards per carry in just the third collegiate appearance for the freshman, who did not touch the ball in his first two appearances.

ZAFFRAM TAKING GAMES OVER
LB Brad Zaffram leads the team in tackles with 70 and leads all players in the PSAC with 18.0 tackles for loss. 39 of those total tackles and 8.5 of those TFL have come in the last four games. Zaffram has tallied at least 10 tackles in three of the last four weeks and has at least 2.0 tackles for loss in seven of the last eight games. He ranks 12th in the nation in TFL at 1.8 per game.

KUHN LEADING PSAC IN SACKS
Defensive end Chad Kuhn has a PSAC-high 10.5 sacks on the year with at least one sack in nine different games. Kuhn ranks seventh in the nation in sacks per game (1.1) and has 3.0 sacks more than any other defensive player in the PSAC. Kuhn also ranks fourth in the PSAC in tackles for loss at 13.5 total and 1.33 per game. His 10.5 sacks are the seventh most in a single-season in SRU history. He can jump up to fourth on that list with two more sacks. His 19.0 career sacks rank 10th all-time at SRU. Kuhn is just the third individual SRU player to record 10.0 or more sacks in a single-season since 2000, joining NCAA all-time career record holder Marcus Martin, who had 16.0, 15.5 and 15.5 to lock down the top three spots in the SRU record book, and Tyler Boudreau, who had 12.0 in 2007.

DEFENSE GETTING INTO THE BACKFIELD
SRU ranks 14th in the nation in tackles for loss, averaging 8.8 per game. The Rock also rank 17th in the nation in sacks as a team at 3.1 sacks per game. Chad Kuhn has at least one sack in nine of the team's 10 games and ranks seventh in the nation in sacks at 1.1 per game. The Rock have a total of 19 players with at least 1.0 tackle for loss on the year and 12 players with at least 2.5 tackles for loss.

CHAPLA BREAKS ALL-TIME PSAC RECORD
With six points last week, SRU kicker Jake Chapla increased his career scoring total to 362 points. Chapla, who previously this season became the all-time scoring record holder in SRU program history, broke the all-time PSAC record for points by a kicker, which was held by Bloomsburg's Dan Fisher at 361 points. Fisher also owns the all-time PSAC made field goal record at 57, with Chapla trailing that mark by nine field goals.

CHAPLA EXTENDS HIS SRU CAREER RECORDS
Rock kicker Jake Chapla booted six extra points last week to extend his SRU career records to 218 made extra points, 48 made field goals and 362 total points. Chapla is 9-16 on field goals this year. He is 60-of-64 on PAT kicks, with three blocked kicks and one fumbled snap.

CHAPLA AMONG THE BEST IN ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Jake Chapla leads all active players at every level of NCAA football in made PAT kicks (218). Chapla ranks first among all active players in Division II in scoring and ranks third among all players at any level of NCAA football in scoring (362 points). The only two active players in college football with more points than Chapla are Georgia (FBS) kicker Rodrigo Blankenship (389) and Grove City (D3) running back Wesley Schools (366 points).

ACTIVE SCORING LEADERS IN NCAA FOOTBALL (ALL DIVISIONS)
1. Rodrigo Blankenship Georgia (FBS) 402 points
2. Wesley Schools Grove City (D3) 366 points
3. Jake Chapla Slippery Rock (D2) 362 points
4. Josh Parks St. Thomas (Minn.) (D3) 360 points
5. Chase Vinatieri South Dakota St. (FCS) 359 points

LATE CHANGES IN THE SECONDARY WORKING OUT
Slippery Rock moved cornerback Khadir Roberts to the free safety position three weeks ago. Senior Tyree Spearman took Roberts' corner spot opposite Eric Glover-Williams, giving SRU a starting secondary with two senior corners and two junior safeties, with Dalton Holt staying at strong safety. In three games since that change, SRU has allowed just 284 passing yards (94.7 per game) and only one passing touchdown combined in wins over Clarion, Cal U and Gannon. Opposing QBs completed 34-of-68 (50%) passes in those games with one TD and three interceptions.

MOST PENALIZED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY
Slippery Rock has been flagged 114 times this season, the most of any team in the nation. Those penalties have cost SRU an average of 106.0 yards per game, the second highest average in the nation. SRU isn't alone in terms of teams with winning records being ranked among the most penalized teams as four of the bottom six teams in the country have two or less losses, including three from the PSAC (10-0 SRU and Ferris State (102 penalties), 9-1 IUP (98 penalties) and 8-2 Shepherd (111 penalties)).

RUN DEFENSE STRUGGLES TWO WEEKS IN A ROW
Slippery Rock opponents combined for just 367 total rushing yards over a seven week stretch from weeks 2-8 as The Rock defense allowed 52.4 rushing yards per game and three total rushing touchdowns over those seven weeks. Over the last two weeks, SRU has allowed 312 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Cal U rushed for 168 yards and Gannon ran for 144 yards. Both opponents had individuals go over 100 yards on the ground, marking the first time since week one that an opponent had a 100-yard rusher against SRU. The Rock had climbed into the top 10 in the nation against the run, but has since slipped to 16th with opponents averaging 92.7 rushing yards per game.

SCORING STREAKS
Slippery Rock has scored points on at least three consecutive possessions in nine of the team's 10 games this season. The only game that SRU failed to string together at least three straight scoring drives was week eight against Cal U. The Rock's best effort this season was the opener at Wayne State, where the offense scored touchdowns on eight straight possessions.

QUICK DRIVES
Slippery Rock has used five or less plays to score points on 34 different drives this season. The Rock have used less than two minutes of game clock to put points on the board on 38 different drives this season and have needed less than one minute to score points on 19 different possessions. SRU scored touchdowns on five drives last week that needed five or fewer plays and scored all eight of its touchdowns against Gannon with drives that lasted less than 3:20.

TIME CONSUMING DRIVES WHEN NEEDED
For as often as SRU has scored quickly this season, the offense has also shown the ability to put together sustained drives. The Rock scored with at least one drive of four minutes or longer in every game this season, until last week.

LONG DRIVES
Slippery Rock has scored on 73 possessions this year, but has only run 10 or more plays on 14 of those drives. SRU has driven 70 or more yards on 22 of its scoring drives this season and has nine scoring drives of 80 or more yards.

RED ZONE SCORING OFFENSE
The Rock offense scored points on their first 10 red zone trips this year before taking a knee in the red zone at the end of week three to halt their perfect streak. SRU then scored on its next 21 straight trips to the red zone to open the year 31-of-32 in red zone scoring. Since then, The Rock offense has scored on 16 of its last 20 trips to the red zone, including all seven trips last week against Gannon, to bring the season total to 47-of-52 (90.4 percent). That percentage ranks 12th in the nation.

JUMPING OUT TO BIG LEADS
Slippery Rock is outscoring opponents 132-37 in the first quarter and 307-96 in the first half this season. The Rock are averaging 13.2 first quarter points and 17.5 second quarter points for 30.7 first half points per game, while allowing just 3.7 points per game in the first quarter and 5.9 points per game in the second quarter for 9.6 points per game in the first half. The Rock have posted a first quarter shutout in five of 10 games this season, have led at halftime in all 10 games and have led by at least 17 points at halftime in six different games.

STARTERS NOTES
Just five offensive players began this season with at least 10 career starts to their name. LT Chris Larsen has started a team-high 40 games. Larsen, LG Ryan Podgorski and C Austin Wayt have started the last 24 straight games. Roland Rivers III has started 22 straight games at QB and WR Henry Litwin has started 22 games. The defense returned nine players that had started at least 12 career games entering 2019. KUTZTOWN QUICK HITS
• Kutztown is 10-0 for the first time in program history and posted a 7-0 record against the PSAC East for the second time in the last five years.
