SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team shut out Mansfield University Saturday, 6-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest at James Egli Field. SRU tallied goals from
Jordyn Minda,
Brooke Testa,
Georgia Nagucki,
Kaitlyn Barackman,
Skye Kramer and
Reagan Reeves.
Rachel Edge assisted on three goals.

SRU recorded two goals in the first half and four in the second, as the defense held Mansfield to just one shut en route to the victory.

Minda managed Slippery Rock's first goal in the ninth minute off a corner kick entry from Testa.
Following a foul in the box in the 36th minute, Testa was awarded a penalty kick and she booted it by Mansfield's keeper for the score.

After the break,
Georgia Nagucki received a pass from Edge in the box and she fired it into the net at 49:38.

At 50:13, Barackman added another score off an assist from Edge to make it a 4-0 Rock lead.

Kramer tallied another goal off another assist from Edge to make it a 5-0 advantage.

Reeves closed out SRU's scoring for the day after she dribbled into the box and sent one past the keeper for the goal.

Kylie Downs recorded one save on one shot faced and tallied her third shutout of the season.

Slippery Rock outshot Mansfield 24-1 overall and had lead in shots on goal, 12-1.
SRU improves to 3-1-0 on the season and 2-1 in PSAC play while MU falls to 0-4-0 for the year and 0-4-0 in league games.Â

GAME NOTES
- Slippery Rock's six goals are the most it has scored in a contest since it tallied seven at Mansfield last season on Sept. 9, 2017.
- All of SRU's wins have been shutout victories. The Rock have also not surrendered a goal in their history against Mansfield.
- The Rock's 24 total shots were the most they have fired in a game since they totaled 26 at Shippensburg last season on Oct. 28, 2017.
- Minda and Barackman scored their second goals of the season while Testa, Nagucki, Kramer and Reeves registered their first scores of 2018. Nagucki and Reeves' goals were also the first in their SRU careers.
- Edge's three assists were tied for the second most by a Rock player in a single game.
- Downs only recorded one save on one shot faced, but still registered the shutout and is tied for the PSAC lead in shutouts this season with three.
