SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University volleyball team lost in three sets to Clarion University, 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-15), Saturday afternoon at Morrow Field House.
The loss snaps Slippery Rock's two-match winning streak and drops its record to 6-11 overall and 3-6 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Clarion improves to 15-7 overall and 6-3 in league matches with the win.
Everything that could go right seemed to go right for Clarion on Saturday as the Golden Eagles never trailed throughout the match and finished the contest holding advantages over The Rock in kills (37-23), attack percentage (.387-.049), aces (13-3), digs (38-36) and blocks (5-2).

Shayla Ray paced The Rock on Saturday with six kills a .500 attack percentage (6-1-10) and a pair of blocks.

Erinn Kahoe both tallied five kills as well with Stumpf also serving one ace. Junior

Stephanie Jacobsen rounded out The Rock's attack.

Zoe Rivet served a team-high two aces, passed out 16 assists and made 11 digs in a double-double effort. Sophomore
Jalyn Willard matched Rivet with 11 digs of her own.
Julia Holden had 12 kills for Clarion while Aubrey Wrona served up five aces for the Golden Eagles.
Slippery Rock will look to bounce back from Saturday's loss with a win 7 p.m. Friday at Mercyhurst University.
