BURNABY, British Columbia - The Slippery Rock men's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision in a non-conference clash at no. 2 Simon Fraser University Friday evening at Terry Box Field.

The Rock could muster only one shot on goal for the game while SFU managed 12 total shots on goal. The Clan scored a goal in the first period and SRU was unable to knot up the score.

With the loss, Slippery Rock drops to 1-2-1 for the season while Simon Fraser improves to 4-0-0.

After Rock goalkeeper
Jonathan Sharp made a save at 41:42 off a shot from Kyle Jones, Simon Fraser got another chance at 42:19 when Michael North sent a cross into the box to Connor Glennon who deposited it into the net for the score. SFU took the 1-0 lead.

Slippery Rock's shot on goal came at 44:09 when
Luke Picchi sent one on target, but SFU goalkeeper Miguel Hof registered the save.

The Rock's best chance to knot up the score came at 69:17 when
Kyle Boyer fired a shot that hit the crossbar. Unfortunately, SRU did not record a shot for the rest of the second period and Simon Fraser held on for the 1-0 win.

SRU's goalkeeper Sharp had outstanding game making 10 saves on 11 shots faced.
