MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team picked up its fifth straight win with a 90-78 victory on the road at Millersville University Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover action.

The Rock improved to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in PSAC games with the win, while Millersville dropped to 3-8 overall and 1-4 in league games.

Slippery Rock was in control from the early stages and led for all but 12 seconds of the game. The Rock built a 53-37 halftime lead and cruised to the win in the second half.

Micah Till recorded his sixth double-double of the year and his fourth in the last five games with 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead Slippery Rock.

Aaron McDonald added 23 points and six assists and
Brandon Simmons scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while also blocking three shots, which marked the fifth straight game with at least three blocks for Simmons.

Khyree Wooten scored 15 points and grabbed five assists and
Merdic Green scored nine points to cap the top scorers for SRU.

Slippery Rock shot 54.3 percent from the field (38-for-70), 50 percent from 3-point (6-for-12) and 57.1 percent from the free throw line (8-for-14). The Rock posted a 44-37 edge in total rebounds and scored 23 second chance points in the game.

Millersville shot 39.1 percent from the field (27-for-69), 21.4 percent from 3-point (3-for-14) and 77.8 percent from the free throw line (21-for-27).

Caden Najdawi led the Marauders with 19 points, while Marcus Adkison added 15 points, Mark Perry scored 14 points and Jamal Washington scored 11 points.

Slippery Rock will have little time to enjoy the victory as The Rock will host Carlow University Sunday in non-conference action at 3 p.m. as they look for their sixth straight victory.
