Paige Costantino reached the 100 career goal milestone Saturday to lead the Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team to a 15-7 win over Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Costantino entered the game needing six goals to become the seventh player in program history to record 100 goals. She scored two goals and handed out one assist in the first half before tallying four goals in the second half, including her 100th with 11:08 to play. She is currently seventh on the all-time leaderboard at SRU and can move into a tie for sixth with Regina Infinito with seven more goals. She is also in striking distance of the two players that sit fourth all-time with 112 goals,
Morgan Pettit and April Ennis.

The win snapped a three-game losing skid for SRU and improved the team to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in PSAC games. The Rock are painstakingly close to being 6-2 overall and 3-0 in league action after dropping each of the last three games by just one goal, including each of the last two in double overtime against nationally ranked opponents. Shippensburg dropped to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in PSAC games with the loss.

Saturday's outcome was never really in doubt as Slippery Rock asserted its authority throughout the game and went to its substitutes for most of the final 10 minutes. The Raiders stayed in the game early thanks to an outstanding effort from goalkeeper Ally Frymoyer, who made 12 saves in the first half and finished with 19 saves.

Slippery Rock posted advantages of 39-18 in total shots, 34-13 in shots on goal, 32-25 in ground balls and 18-6 in caused turnovers. The Rock held Shippensburg to just 8-of-20 in clear attempts and the Raiders committed 31 total turnovers in the game. Shippensburg managed a 15-8 advantage in draw controls, but struggled to maintain possession after winning the draw.

Costantino finished with seven points on six goals and one assist to lead The Rock.
Kaytlin Callaghan added three goals and one assist and
Erin Wilcox chipped in three goals.
Jasey Sanders scored two goals,
Ally Culhane scored one goal and
Caitlynn Palladino added one assist to cap the point scorers.

Morgan McLaughlin recorded a team-high four caused turnovers.

Jordan Wagner earned the win in goal after playing the first 50 minutes and recorded five saves. She allowed six goals before she was replaced by
Taylor Balbierz for the final 10 minutes. Balbierz allowed one goal and made one save.

Shippensburg was led by Sheila Johnson with a hat trick and Amanda Frank with one goal and one assist. They were the only two Raider players with multiple point outings. Max Barkley added one goal and recorded a game-high nine draw controls.

Saturday's game capped a five-game homestand for Slippery Rock, which will now hit the road for its next three games beginning with a 4 p.m. first draw at Gannon Tuesday afternoon.
