SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University football games will be broadcast live this fall on two Butler County FM radio stations as well as being available via the internet, SRU Sports Information Director Bob McComas announced Tuesday.
SRU graduate Bob Cupp will again provide the play-by-play and Glenn Thompson returns to add color commentary for broadcasts of all Rock football games, home and away, on Butler's WLER-FM 97.7, the official station for Rock football games. Those broadcasts can also be heard on the web at

Matthew Van Kirk, a senior communication major at SRU, will be the play-by-play voice and Cody Moody, a sophomore secondary education-history major, will add color commentary for broadcasts of Rock home football games on WSRU-FM 88.1, the University's student radio station. Game broadcasts can also be accessed via the web at

WSRU-FM also plans to broadcast selected home women's and men's basketball and baseball games, said Van Kirk, who also serves as WSRU's general manager.
The live radio broadcasts of Rock football games are part of a season-long series of
SRU athletic event audiocasts.
The Rock sports information office, in cooperation with the
MSA Sports Network, will also produce live internet-only broadcasts of home women's field hockey, men's soccer, women's volleyball, women's and men's basketball, baseball and women's lacrosse games during the 2012-13 academic year, McComas said.
