SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The 11th-ranked Slippery Rock University men's soccer team earned a 3-1 victory over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Gannon in the final game of the regular season Saturday at Thompson Stadium.
The Rock, now 16-3 overall and 6-2 in the PSAC-West, honored four seniors before playing in their final regular season home game.

Jeremy Deighton were all recognized for their dedication to the SRU program throughout their careers.
The Rock struck first in the match when Thomas Pool scored his third goal of the season on a header off a corner kick from
Toby Bowser in the sixth minute.
Gannon, now 6-10-2 overall and 3-5 in league play, scored in the 60th minute when Evan Chate found an empty net after Rock keeper
Greg Blum made a diving save on a shot by Sean Washek. The rebound found the foot of Chate, who scored the easy goal to tie the game at 1-1.
Slippery Rock regained control in the 71st minute when Langstone scored his second of the season, beating Gannon's keeper into the upper right corner of the net off an assist from
Michael Ramirez, who registered his first collegiate point on the play.
Anthony Paganie added an insurance goal in the 86th minute when he beat two defenders and the keeper on a breakaway and found the inside of the far post for the game's final score.
Gannon controlled much of the second half and finished the game with advantages of 16-12 in total shots, 8-6 in shots on goal and 9-3 in corner kicks.
Blum earned the win after recording six saves. Steven Boehmer earned the loss, recording three saves.
Slippery Rock will travel to Mercyhurst Wednesday, Nov. 4, for the PSAC semifinals. Game time is set for 1 p.m. Live stats will be available through the Rock athletics Web site at www.RockAthletics.com.
