SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Senior postman
Denell Stephens delivered a 23-point, eight-rebound performance Saturday afternoon to lead The Rock to an easy 82-58 win over visiting Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action in Morrow Field House.

Kyle Camper, the conference leader in assists, equalled his per-game average with 11 handouts.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for The Rock, improved the Green and White's season record to 11-6 and evened its PSAC-West mark at 2-2.
Clarion saw its record drop to 9-7 overall, 0-4 in division play.
The outcome was never in doubt once The Rock broke a 4-4 tie with a 10-0 run that put the hosts up by a 14-4 margin with 15 minutes left in the first half.
Clarion cut the margin to three points, 22-19, with 9:30 left in the opening stanza and trailed by only four, 27-23, with six minutes left before The Rock extended its lead to eight points, 44-36, at the intermission.
The guests scored the first basket of the second half to cut the gap to six points before SRU went on a 12-0 run to push the advantage to 18 (56-38) with 17:30 left in the game.
The Rock lead was never less than 15 points the rest of the game and reached a high-water mark of 28 points, 79-51, with 4:30 left to play.
SRU finished the game with a very respectable 49.1% (27 of 55) efficiency on its field goal attempts, made eight of 23 (34.8%) of its 3-point shots and canned 20 of 27 (68.2%) of its free throws.
Clarion, meanwhile, shot a frosty 35.5% (22 of 62) from the field, made only two of 13 (15.4%) from beyond the arc and sank 12 of 20 (60%) of its charity tosses.
The Rock enjoyed a 44-33 advantage in rebounds and was on the low end of a 19-18 turnover comparison.
SRU embarks on a two-game road trip Wednesday, when it travels to Lock Haven for an 8 p.m. division game. Next Saturday, The Rock invades Indiana (Pa.) for a 7:30 p.m. before returning home for a Feb. 4 date with California (Pa.) in Morrow Field House.
The Feb. 4 game will be part of the "Green-Out Night" event for which all Rock fans are urged to wear green.
