Robinson leads Rock past Davis & Elkins, 82-62

INDIANA, Pa. -- Senior guard Erroll Robinson scored a team-high 17 points Wednesday night to lead The Rock to an 82-62 win over Davis & Elkins in second-day action of the Indiana Regional Medical Center Holiday Classic hosted by Indiana U. of Pa.

Senior point guard Kyle Camper added 15 points and nine assists as The Rock improved its season record to 8-1. Sophomore guard Bryen Spriggs chipped in 12 points, while senior wing player Jamar Scales garbbed a team-high nine rebounds.

The Rock outscored Davis & Elkins (2-6) by a 14-5 margin in the final five and a half minutes of the first half to take a 41-32 lead into intermission and never looked back.

The largest lead of the night was a 28-point, 79-51, advantage with five minutes left to play.

SRU held a slim 37-33 advantage in rebounding and shot 46.2% (29 of 63) from the field, 40.6% (13 of 32) from 3-point range and 73.3% (11 of 15) from the foul line.

Davis & Elkins shot 40% (20 of 50) from the field, 26.1% (6 of 23) from 3-point range and 72.7% (16 of 22) from the foul line.

The Rock is idle until Jan. 3, when it will visit Cheyney for a 3 p.m. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" game.
