KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Junior forward Erroll Robinson scored a team-high 12 points Tuesday night in a losing effort as The Rock dropped a 69-65 decision at Kutztown in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" action.

Junior guard Darnell Johnson and junior forward Jamar Scales each added 11 points for SRU (2-6).

Robinson and junior post player Joseph Vines each had six rebounds to lead The Rock effort in that area, while Johnson, redshirt freshman post player Jade Burka and freshman post player Cory Somerville each added five rebounds.

The Rock and Kutztown battled on even terms throughout the game, which featured seven ties and two lead changes.

After the score was tied four times and the lead changed hands twice in the first half, Kutztown held a 29-27 lead at intermission.

The Rock never led in the second half, but did manage to knot the score on three occasions, the final one a 39-39 deadlock with 13:42 left to play. Kutztown scored the next four points and did not relinquish the lead thereafter.

SRU shot 42.9% (24 of 56) from the field, 37.5% (6 of 16) from 3-point range and 68.8% (11 of 16) from the foul line en route to its second straight loss.

The Rock will look to end that skid at 8 p.m. Wednesday, when the Green and White visit East Stroudsburg for an interdivisional contest.

Wednesday's game will be the third in a string of five straight road games The Rock will play before hosting Cheyney in a Jan. 6 game in Morrow Field House.

After visiting East Stroudsburg, The Rock travels to Ashland (Ohio) for a noon game Sunday and visits NCAA Division I Youngstown State for a 2 p.m. game Dec. 29 before entertaining Cheyney.
