Jewel won the 800m at the Ashland Alumni Invitational in a school record and PSAC-leading time of 1:51.19. That mark ranks as the third-fastest time in the nation this season and breaks the SRU school record set by Bill Brice in 1983. He then closed his day by running a leg of the 4x400-meter relay, which set a season-best time of 3:20.71.
