Rector shattered the oldest record in SRU men's track and field history Saturday at the Akron Invite when he posted a time of 1:52.78 in the 800-meter run. Rector placed fifth in the race and was the only non-Division I athlete to compete. His time is an NCAA provisional qualifier and is the fourth-fastest in Division II this season.
