Timothy Hampe joined the Slippery Rock Athletics Department as an athletic trainer in the summer of 2024. Hampe will work with the softball team as his primary sport and will also assist with The Rock football team.
Hampe is a two-time SRU alumnus, earning both his undergraduate degree and his master's degree from The Rock. He graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's in exercise science and earned his master's in athletic training in 2022.
Prior to joining the staff at his Alma Mater, Hampe spent two years working as an athletic trainer at Mercyhurst University, where he provided athletic training services for men's soccer, men's and women's basketball and football while also providing sports medicine coverage for baseball and women's lacrosse.
During his undergraduate experience at SRU, Hampe worked with the men's and women's basketball and men's and women's track and field programs at The Rock.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the East Athletic Trainers' Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Association.
