Dr. Sararose Lynch is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education at Slippery Rock University and became the faculty athletics representative for the Athletics Department in 2026.
In her role as the FAR, Lynch serves as a liaison between the faculty at SRU and the Athletics Department and its more than 500 student-athletes.Â
Lynch is a former collegiate student-athlete and was a member of the West Virginia Wesleyan women's basketball team from 2000-04. She also served as a member of the SAAC at West Virginia Wesleyan. She has stayed involved with Athletics throughout her time in education, previously serving as the FAR at Westminster College from 2009-12 and also coaching girls' basketball at a variety of levels in Maryland and Pennsylvania. She currently coaches junior high girls in the New Wilmington School District.
In addition to her teaching role and her role as FAR, Lynch is also co-director of RockTEACH, co-chair of the Faculty Professional Development Committee and a member of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) Advisory Board.
Lynch earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics education from West Virgina Wesleyan and an Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in mathematics interventions from West Virginia University.
