Duncan Williams joined the Slippery Rock facilities and events staff in 2025 after previously serving as assistant athletic director for sports operations at Lake Erie College for the 2024-25 academic year.Â
Prior to his time at Lake Erie, Williams spent five years at Notre Dame College (Ohio, where he held many different titles with the most recent being Director of Athletics for Facility and Community Engagement. In his time at NDC, he oversaw the renovation of three different locker rooms and also created an indoor golf facility on campus. He implemented community outreach programs that invited the use of the campus and facilities that helped nearby communities and youth programs. He was also named an assistant basketball coach on the Notre Dame men's basketball staff in 2019 and the Director of Golf in 2023.
Prior to arriving at NDC, Williams was on the men's basketball coaching staff at Alderson Broaddus University for eight seasons, where he helped the Battlers capture four Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships. He was part of an athletic staff that welcomed 10 new sports, along with creating all new facilities while doubling enrollment.
Williams also served as the General Manager of Rex Pyles Arena at Alderson Broaddus, serving 27 sports and the local community.
In addition to his roles in athletics, Williams has also taught classes at both Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame College during his tenure working in collegiate athletics.Â

Williams began his collegiate playing career at Winthrop University, where he played soccer, before transferring to Shepherd University prior to his junior year. At Shepherd, he played both basketball and soccer, serving as the captain for the men’s basketball team during the 2006-07 season and captain of the men’s soccer team during the 2008 season.
He graduated in 2009 with a BA in business management and also earned a master’s in athletic administration from West Virginia University.
