Slippery Rock University Athletics

Casey Padgett joined the Slippery Rock University athletic training staff prior to the 2026-27 academic year. Padgett will handle the primary athletic training services for The Rock’s field hockey and baseball programs.
 
Padgett recently graduated from Duquesne University with both his bachelor’s degree in health sciences (2025) and master’s in athletic training (2026).
 
While working towards his degrees, Padgett gained valuable experience as an athletic training student with Duquesne’s women’s basketball and bowling programs, Moon High School, Fox Chapel High School and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
 
Padgett was also a student-athlete at Duquesne, competing on the Dukes’ cross country and track & field teams. No stranger to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, two of Padgett’s siblings – Corbin (California) and Caitlyn (Seton Hill) – competed inside the conference in track & field as well.
 
Padgett holds OSHA, HIPA and ASTYM certifications.
