Andrea Miller Grady

Andrea Miller Grady, former associate director of compliance at The Ohio State University, was named assistant athletic director for compliance and senior woman administrator (SWA) at Slippery Rock Sept. 1, 2018.
 
Grady, who received her undergraduate degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock in 2012 and her master's degree in sports management from Indiana University (Pa.) in 2013, is in charge of NCAA compliance, serves as the SWA in the athletic department and oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in addition to overseeing certain athletic teams.

Prior to joining the Slippery Rock staff, she spent three years and two months working at Ohio State, where she started as an assistant director of compliance before being promoted to an associate director in December of 2016. She handled the primary compliance oversight for some of the largest rosters at Ohio State, working with the track and field and cross country programs and the men's soccer team. In addition to her compliance oversight responsibilities for individual sports teams, she also oversaw an assistant director of compliance and collaborated on processing eligibility for more than 1,000 athletes in 36 sports for the Buckeyes.
 
Prior to accepting a position at Ohio State, Grady spent just shy of two years as the compliance coordinator at Division I Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, where she helped to manage all compliance tasks for all athletic teams.
 
She spent the summer of 2013 serving as an intern in the compliance office at Division I Saint Francis University (Pa.) to complete her final degree requirements for her master's degree at Indiana University (Pa.), where she spent one year as a graduate assistant in the James G. Mill Fitness Center.
 
During her undergraduate education at Slippery Rock, Grady spent four years working as an office assistant in the compliance office from 2008-12, where she assisted with all compliance efforts and cut her teeth in NCAA compliance rules and regulations.
 
She is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC).

Grady is married to SRU men's basketball coach Ian Grady. The couple reside in Cranberry Township with their son, Jinnix, who was born in the summer of 2020.
