Lisa Rodgers

Lisa Rodgers joined the coaching staff at Slippery Rock after finishing her collegiate career as The Rock's goalkeeper in 2011.

Rodgers, who finished her undergraduate degree in pre-physical therapy at the University of Dayton in May 2011, entered the doctor of physical therapy program at SRU in the fall of 2011 with one remaining season of athletic eligibility.

Rodgers, a native of Butler, Pa., assumed the starting keeper role for SRU and helped lead the team to the third round of the NCAA tournament and an overall record of 16-5-2 in 2011.

She finished her senior season with 11 shutouts, a goals against average of 0.66 and a save percentage of .860. She was an integral part of the team's record-setting shutout streak of 11 games, which ties for the fifth-best in Division II history.

Before Slippery Rock, Rodgers played three seasons at Division I Dayton, where she was the starting keeper on the Atlantic 10 championship team in 2010. She finished that season with a 15-1-1 record and earned first team All-Conference and All-Region honors.

For her career, Rodgers appeared in 44 games and made 42 starts, posting a 30-9-3 record with 24 shutouts, a goals against average of 0.65 and a save percentage of .855.

As a member of The Rock's coaching staff, Rodgers will work closely with the goalkeepers while also assisting with all facets of the program.
