Chris Logan

Chris Logan was named full-time assistant men’s and women’s soccer coach at Slippery Rock University in July 2009. Logan spent the two previous seasons serving as The Rock’s men’s soccer graduate assistant.

Logan primarily works with goalkeepers for both the Slippery Rock men’s and women’s teams, while also assisting in all other facets of each program.

Logan came to Slippery Rock in 2007 and spent two years serving as a graduate assistant for the men’s program, working with head coach Matt Thompson . He graduated with his master’s degree in English this spring. Prior to coming to The Rock, Logan earned his bachelor’s degree in English and minored in writing at Notre Dame College (Ohio).

A native of Stoke-on-Trent, England, Logan finds his comfort standing in front of the net, as a former goalkeeper. He was a goalkeeper for the Notre Dame Falcons men’s soccer team from 2002-2005. While on the team, they won the American Mideast Conference North Division three times.

The Falcons also earned runner-up honors in the American Mideast Conference Division in 2003 and in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Region IX playoffs in 2005.

As a Falcon player, Logan was a member of the All-American Mideast Conference North Division first team in 2002, 2003 and 2005. He also made the NAIA Region IX first team in 2005.

In the net, Logan was twice voted American Mideast Conference Player of the Week, and once voted NAIA Region IX Player of the week.

During his undergraduate years, Logan participated in the Premier Development League. He played for the Palm Beach Pumas in 2003 and the West Virginia Chaos in 2004 and 2005.

Logan has served as a goalkeeper coach for Lake Erie College and the Cleveland Whitecaps FC in the past.
