Jordan Anderson

Jordan Anderson joined the Slippery Rock coaching staff in August of 2021 as an assistant coach and has played an instrumental role in elevating SRU into a premier lacrosse program not only in the Atlantic Region, but all of Division II. 

CAREER AT A GLANCE
• Anderson came to The Rock after spending four years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Marietta College in Ohio.
• With Anderson on the sidelines, Slippery Rock has compiled a 53-21 overall record including a 32-14 mark inside the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
• Has helped mentor 25 All-PSAC selections, 11 IWLCA All-Region honorees and seven All-Americans.
• Anderson and head coach Taryn Burkholder have earned IWLCA Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors in both 2024 and 2025.
• SRU has enjoyed unprecedented success the last two seasons, going a combined 33-7 with two postseason appearances – including a spot in the 2025 national semifinals – over previous two years.
• Anderson was named the 2025 Division II National Assistant Coach of the Year by the IWLCA.
• In the classroom, Slippery Rock lacrosse has won the PSAC Team GPA Award in 2021-22, 2022-23 2023-24 and 2024-25 for having the highest team GPA among all women’s lacrosse teams in the league.
• Burkholder had the chance to coach Anderson as a player at Morrisville State College, where Anderson played both lacrosse and women's basketball.
• She spent four years at Marietta, where she coordinated recruiting and was intricately involved in all facets of running the program.
• Anderson also worked as a volunteer women's basketball coach and served as a strength coach with the softball program for one year at Marietta.

PLAYING CAREER
• She was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was a first team ECAC Division III All-Star as a defender on the lacrosse field.
• Anderson was also a first team All-NEAC selection on the basketball court and set Morrisville State records for total field goals, free throws made, assists and steals while playing point guard for three seasons.
 
PERSONAL
• In addition to her coaching roles at Marietta, Anderson also served as a lacrosse coach at the Nike Lacrosse Camp at Saint Vincent and has been a certified CrossFit Level 1 instructor since May of 2019.
