Courtney Haines joined the Slippery Rock University women’s basketball program as a volunteer assistant on head coach Ryenn Micaletti’s staff prior to the 2023-24 season.
 
CAREER AT A GLANCE
• Haines comes to The Rock after most recently serving as an assistant coach at fellow Atlantic Region school West Virginia Wesleyan College for two seasons.

CAREER PATH
• Haines embarked on coaching career following her collegiate playing career on the high school level as a varsity assistant at Laurel Highlands for four seasons.
• Moved on to West Virginia Wesleyan for two seasons (2021-23) where she was responsible for training and mentoring all student-athletes and facilitating the effective development of athletic skills.
• Organized the Bobcats’ travel arrangements, practice and weight training scheduling.
 
PLAYING CAREER
• Was a four-year starter and three-time captain at Penn State Fayette.
• Scored 1,243 points PSU Fayette with career per game averages of 12.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals.
• Earned USCAA DII All-America honors in 2017.
• Also an all-conference volleyball standout at Fayette.
 
PERSONAL
• Native of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania.
• Earned bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Penn State in 2017.
• Also received master’s degree in Sports Management – Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California (Pa.) in 2018.
