Wilhelm served as a Rock assistant coach from 2002-03 before accepting the head coaching job at Thiel College in Greenville.

Prior to joining the SRU staff in 2002, Wilhelm served one season as assistant coach at Butler High School.

He is now the Director of Coaching for the Northern Steel Soccer Club boys program.

As a Rock player, Wilhelm earned Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Soccer Conference (WPISC) all-star honors in 1995. A teammate of current Rock head coach Matt Thompson, Wilhelm helped the 1994 Rock squad capture the WPISC championship.

Prior to playing at SRU, Wilhelm was a member of the 1993 Gannon University squad that earned a No. 3 national ranking, captured an NCAA Division II regional championship and advanced to the national semifinals.

Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in 1998, Wilhelm began working for Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.

He returned to The Rock in 1999 to pursue a master’s degree in sport management.

Wilhelm resides in Slippery Rock with his wife, Amanda.
