Eric Elias enters his second year as a graduate assistant on head coach Kevin Reynolds’ staff for the Slippery Rock men’s basketball team in 2018-19.
Elias has a wide array of responsibilities as a graduate assistant, including working closely with the players and coaches to ensure the program’s success.
In his first season as a graduate assistant, he helped coach SRU to a 21-9 record and a berth into the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament.
Prior to being a graduate assistant, Elias served as a student manager on The Rock’s staff for three years. During his time as a manager, Elias was a part of two winning seasons, including an NCAA tournament berth where The Rock upset Gannon University in the first round before losing to eventual national runner-up, Indiana (Pa.).
Elias is a Slippery Rock University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. Prior to The Rock, Elias played high school basketball at Moon Area High School.
Eric is the son of former Division I basketball coach, Jim Elias.
