Scott Morrison enters his sixth season overall at Slippery Rock University and his fifth working with The Rock’s football program as the team’s head athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach.
Morrison is a certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer by the states of Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Virginia. He is also the Director of Human Performance for the athletic department in addition to being a member of President William Behre’s Commission on Wellness while also serving as the clinical preceptor for the SRU undergraduate Athletic Training program and the clinical supervisor for SRU’s Exercise Science strength training interns.
Prior to coming to Slippery Rock, Morrison was the Regional Team Leader / Cycling Program Coordinator for UPMC (2008-15), an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Dartmouth College (2008) and the Head Athletic Trainer at Lock Haven Hospital (2007-08).
Morrison earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an Athletic Training option from Pennsylvania State University in 2006 followed by a master’s from the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education with a major of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine in 2007.
Morrison and his wife Tracy have one daughter, Grace, who is a senior at North Hills High School.
