Jake Reed will begin his second season as a graduate assistant for head coach Shawn Lutz in 2020. Reed will once again coach the running backs.
A year ago, Reed helped coach a Rock team that went 13-1, won Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, PSAC West and Super Region I championships while appearing in the national semifinals and finishing the year ranked sixth in the nation by the American Football Coaches Association.
Slippery Rock led the PSAC in total rushing yards (2,406) in 2019 while ranking third in rushing touchdowns (30) and fourth in rushing yards per game (171.9).
Reed earned his bachelor’s degree in public health from Slippery Rock and is currently working towards his master’s degree in the same field.
