Former Slippery Rock University offensive lineman Brad Shaeffer will begin his third season as The Rock’s tight ends coach in 2024.

• In Shaeffer’s second season as tight ends coach in 2023, Slippery Rock went 12-2, was PSAC West champions and qualified for the NCAA playoffs.
• In his first season in 2022, Slippery Rock went 10-3, was PSAC West co-champions and qualified for the NCAA playoffs.
• In each of his first two seasons with the tight ends, SRU has had the first team All-PSAC West selection at tight end. Max Maciejewski earned the honor in 2022 and Kam Kruzelyak was recognized in 2023. Kruzelyak also picked up All-Region and honorable mention All-America honor.

• Prior to joining The Rock in his current role, Shaeffer formerly worked with the SRU football staff as a student intern while completing his undergraduate degree.
ATHLETIC CAREER
• Committed to The Rock in 2016 following standout career at West Shamokin High School.
• Served as one of SRU’s top reserve lineman during career, appearing in 17 games over a three-season stretch in which Slippery Rock went 32-7 with two NCAA playoff appearances.
PERSONAL
• A native of Rural Valley, Pennsylvania.
• Earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock.
