Slippery Rock University Athletics

Joined The Rock prior to the start of fall 2010 preseason workouts as a transfer student from Lincoln University in suburban Philadelphia.

2010: Appeared in six games … Gained 222 yards on 41 rushes and scored two touchdowns … Averaged 5.2 yards a carry and 44.4 yards per game … Rushed for a game-high 140 yards on 20 attempts in The Rock’s win against Cheyney in week two … Compiled 71 yards and a touchdown against Lock Haven in week eight.

2009: (At Lincoln University)  Played in four games ... Rushed for 153 yards on 33 carries and scored one touchdown ... Scored first collegiate TD on a 24-yard run vs. Cheyney in the season-opening game Aug. 29 ... Had 92 rushing yards on eight carries in the game, including a season-long 28-yard run.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time all-conference performer ... Two-sport athlete ... Lettered four seasons in track and field and three seasons in football ... Graduated with honors ... Member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Christopher Ellis Darby ... Son of Collette Darby and Bruce Morefield ... Criminal justice major.
