The 2026 season will mark Missy Revesz's ninth year overall at Slippery Rock University and second as The Rock field hockey program's head coach.
“Missy has been an integral part of our field hockey program for the past seven years and we are thrilled to elevate her to the head coaching role,” said SRU Director of Athletics Roberta Page. “Her passion for the sport, dedication to our student-athletes and deep understanding of our program’s culture make her the ideal leader to guide us forward.”
CAREER AT A GLANCE
• Over seven years of actual competition, the 2020 season was canceled due to Covid-19, SRU has won 38 games with Revesz on the sidelines.
• Slippery Rock has had six All-PSAC athletes honorees during Revesz’s tenure.
• Academically, Slippery Rock has produced 127 NFHCA All-Academic Squad selections, 66 NFHCA Scholars of Distinction and one CoSIDA Academic All-American – Liz Wolfe (2019) over last seven seasons.
• In addition to achieving the highest team GPA of any field hockey team in the PSAC in five of the last eight seasons, SRU has also led the entire nation in GPA twice (2018, 2019), second once (2020) as well as one third-place finish (2021).
SEASON-BY-SEASON BREAKDOWN
2025
• Ended first season officially leading The Rock field hockey program with a 5-12 record, including a 4-5 showing at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium for what was SRU’s second best home record since 2018.
• Five victories tied for the fourth-highest win total among first-year coaches in program history.
• Lucy Hutchinson was named to the All-PSAC Team and Megan Rude secured a spot on NFHCA Senior Team.
• SRU ranked 11th out of 34 Division II teams in saves per game (7.29).
• Academically, Slippery Rock was second in the PSAC in team GPA (3.593) in addition to earning NFHCA Team Academic honors and placing 15 on NFHCA National Academic Squad – six of which went on to be named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction.

CAREER PATH
• At Oberlin College during the 2017 season. She played an instrumental role in the development of All-North Coast Athletic Conference honorees Dillon Sebastian and Amelia Huang in her lone season with the Yeowomen.
• While at Wooster, she helped lead the Fighting Scots to 15 victories over two seasons, including a nine-win 2016 season.
• At Wooster, Revesz mentored three National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region honorees and seven All-NCAC award recipients. Off the field, 18 Fighting Scots were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and four were recognized as Scholars of Distinction under Revesz’s watch.
ATHLETIC CAREER
• As a player, Revesz was a four-year contributor at Kent State University, a traditional NCAA Division I mid-major field hockey power.
• Revesz appeared in 74 games over her career, making 29 starts and totaling 21 career points on eight goals and five assists.
• As a senior, Revesz guided the Golden Flashes to 11 wins, a Mid-American Conference title and a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
PERSONAL
• Native of Milford, Pennsylvania.
• Resides in Hermitage, Pennsylvania with husband Jason, a former baseball student-athlete at Kent State, and children Jack, Charlie and Anna.
• Revesz received a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in athletic coaching from Kent State in 2015.
• Revesz also holds a USA Field Hockey level two coaching certification and has been a member of the NFHCA since 2015.
