Will return to familiar outfield role this spring after manning shortstop position a year ago ... Patrolled the outfield in each of his first two collegiate campaigns ... One of six everyday starters returning from 2008 squad ... Will bat in leadoff spot for second straight season ...  Summer 2008: Earned league MVP honors in Jayhawk League ... Led Hays Larks to league regular-season and playoff championship and tie for seventh place in National Baseball Congress national tournament ... Batted .355 with nine doubles, four HRs, 31 RBIs and 33 runs scored in 49 games ... Was 14 of 22 in stolen base attempts ... Had .477 slugging percentage and .450 on base average ... Spring 2008: Earned second-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division honors as a shortstop ... Finished ninth among conference hitters with .382 batting average ...
