Before The Rock: Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University … Played baseball for the Division I Rams, which compete out of the Atlantic 10 Conference … Appeared in 26 games over three years at VCU, pitching 44.1 innings. Went 3-0 with a 4.87 ERA, 35 strikeouts and a .232 opponent batting average while at VCU.
 
High School: Lettered three times in baseball at Montour High School … A former all-section honoree … Played travel ball for the Allegheny Pirates.
