Prior to joining the Westminster staff, Nocera served as head coach at nearby New Castle High School from 1993-99. He was also a scout for both the Kansas City Royals (1989-91) and Florida Marlins (1991-99).

Nocera was an accomplished amateur player, earning MSBL Eastern United States MVP honors in 1998 and Midwest Region MVP laurels in 1996.

A graduate of Geneva College, where he played both baseball and football, Nocera earned his M.Ed. from Kensington (Calif.) University and his Ph.D. from LaSalle University. He also earned principal and superintendent certification from Westminster and special education certification from Slippery Rock.

Nocera currently works full time as principal at JFK and West Side Primary
