Slippery Rock University Athletics

After all summer camps at SRU were canceled in 2020, The Rock is pleased to announce that camps and clinics will be available in the summer of 2021. All camps and clinics will be day-camps (no overnight camps) and will have to follow approved SRU COVID-19 protocols found HERE.
 
As camp dates and planning is finalized, that information will be posted to this page.

RELENTLESS ROCK FOOTBALL CAMP

Location: Mihalik-Thompson Stadium
For: High school boys’ and girls’ grades 9-12
Description: Individual position training by the SRU football coaching staff, height and weight measurements, 40 testing and pro shuttle testing, agility circuit, competition drills and 1v1 competitions, evaluation by SRU and other local college football coaching staffs.
Cost: $45 pre-register / $55 walk-up

ROCK FOOTBALL QB DEVELOPMENT CAMP

Dates: June 1, June 7, June 11, June 14, June 18, June 21, July 9, July 12, July 23
Times: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. each day
Location: Mihalik-Thompson Stadium
For: Grades K-12 boys’ and girls’
Description: Individual QB training by former Division II All-American and Harlon Hill Trophy finalist Adam Neugebauer, current offensive coordinator and QB coach at SRU. Competition and drill work, precise technique coaching and a fun and energetic atmosphere.
Cost: $50 per session

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL INDIVIDUAL SKILLS CLINIC

For: High school girls’ grades 9-12
Description: Offensive and defensive fundamental drills, skill work, speed and agility exercises and various competitions and games.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL TEAM SHOOTOUTS
Dates: June 5-6, 2021

Location: Morrow Field House
For: High school girls varsity and junior varsity teams
Description: Teams are guaranteed at least three games that will consist of two 20-minute halves with a running clock (stops for timeouts and the final minute of games). National Federation of High School Basketball rules apply.
Cost: One Day / One Team: $225, Two Days / One Team: $400, One Day / Two Teams: $400, Two Days / Two Teams: $750

SRU BASKETBALL YOUTH SKILLS CLINIC

Time: Morning Session: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (boys and girls grades 3-8). Afternoon Session: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (boys in grades 9-12)
Location: Morrow Field House
For: Boys and girls in grades 3-8 (morning sessions) and high school boys in grades 9-12 (afternoon session)
Description: Participants will enjoy college-level skill instruction, games, hot shot contest, free throw contests and more. 
Cost: $80.00 (Participants will receive a ROCK Basketball T-Shirt)

SRU SOFTBALL PROSPECT CAMP

Dates: June 15, 2021 and June 16, 2021
Times: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: SRU Softball Complex or Morrow Field House
For: High school girls, entering ninth grade and up
Description: Prospect camp is geared towards prospective student-athletes who are interested in Rock softball and want to improve their skills. The camp includes hitting, pitching, catching and infield/outfield drills. 
Cost: $75 for the hitting clinic, $65 for pitching and $35 each for catching, infield and outfield clinics per day.

SRU CO-ED VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Times: Friday: 6-9 p.m. Saturday: 9-11:30 a.m., 1:30-4:30 p.m., 6-9 p.m. Sunday: 9-11:30 a.m., 1:30-4 p.m.
Location: Morrow Field House
For: Adults age 19 and up
Description: An adult co-ed volleyball camp emphasizing individual skill development as well as basic volleyball team concepts. Camp culminates with a 6v6 competitive tournament. Campers will receive dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

SRU BOYS' SOCCER SUMMER ID CLINICS

Location: SRU Soccer Facilities and Mihalik-Thompson Stadium
For: High school age boys (entering 9th grade – 12th)
Description: The ID clinic is designed for students who believe they have the talent to compete at the collegiate level and would like to be considered as a potential future player for the Slippery Rock men's soccer team. Players will be able to showcase themselves in technical drills along with small-sided and 11v11 game situations. 
Cost: $125 each or $200 to attend both clinics

SRU HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM SHOOTOUT

For: Open to any boy's high school team
Description: Teams are guaranteed at least three games for one-day registration and six games if registered for both days.
Cost: Both days (six games): $350. One day (three games): $200

COLLEGIATE POSITIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT CAMP

For: Boys in grades 7-12
Description: A one-day clinic for both forwards and guards that will focus on skill development with elite college coaching instruction.

SRU GIRLS' INDIVIDUAL VOLLEYBALL CAMP

For: All girls grades 6-12
Description: A girls' volleyball camp emphasizing individual skill development (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, serving and individual defense) as well as basic volleyball team offensive and defensive concepts. Camp culminates with a 6v6 competitive tournament. Attendees will receive a t-shirt and a box lunch each day.

GIRLS' LACROSSE PROSPECT CLINICS

Times: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Mihalik Stadium
For: High school girls in grades 9-12
Description: These prospect clinics are geared towards prospective student-athletes interested in Rock lacrosse and those wanting to improve their skills. The focus will be improving tactical and technical play, small sided drills and skills, speed and agility, team concepts and live play. 
Cost: $100 per clinic. $90 if registered at least three weeks in advance. Cost includes t-shirt, speed and agility session, SRU admissions presentation and lunch.

SRU GIRLS' SOCCER SUMMER ID CLINIC

Times: July 30 – 3 – 7 p.m. and July 31st 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Mihalik-Thompson Stadium 
For: Players entering 9th grade and up 
Description: The clinic is designed to totally immerse high school students from ninth grade and up in the competitive environment of women's collegiate soccer. Participants will receive valuable exposure in focused and detail-oriented, yet enjoyable sessions, and will be given the opportunity to work closely with college coaches. Boxed lunches will be provided. 
Cost: Friday and Saturday - $220 / Saturday Only - $140

SRU FIELD HOCKEY SUMMER CLINIC
