A hard-throwing righthander who has put himself on the radar screens of professional teams since transferring to SRU from perennial NCAA Division III national power Marietta College in the fall of 2007 ... Will start 2010 season as a short reliever but could be in starting rotation by middle of the season ... Spring 2009: Received medical redshirt after sustaining arm injury early in the spring ... Made only two appearances, both as a starter, and had a 1-0 record and 7.20 ERA in five innings of work when he “shut it down” ... Summer 2008: Earned all-star status as a member of the Tradewater Pirates of the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee League ... Helped lead team to league’s regular-season championship ...
