SERIES HISTORY
Slippery Rock and District of Columbia will be meeting for the 17
th time in the series history. The Rock hold a 5-8-3 record against UDC and will be looking for their first win over District of Columbia since 2022, when SRU came out victorious, 1-0, at James Egli Field.
Last season, UDC held on for a 3-2 win over SRU in the nation's capital. Each team ended the contest with four yellow cards and one red card.

Slippery Rock fell in a non-conference matchup against Walsh University, 1-0, Sept. 2 at Larry Staudt Field.
Reynolds led all players with four shots, with one landing on goal, while

Following the loss to Walsh, Slippery Rock is now 17-23-14 in non-conference matchups over the last eight years. SRU is looking to earn a non-conference victory for the 19

After two games, Reynolds and Pandher lead The Rock on the offensive side of the pitch with six shots each, while Pandher paces SRU with three shots on goal. Tierney rounds out Slippery Rock's top three shot takers with four shots.

The Rock saw one player make their debut against Walsh, as freshman,
Sie Parker, came in off the bench in the 75
th minute and landed one shot on goal in 15 minutes of play.
A COACHING CONNECTION
Slippery Rock will be facing District of Columbia head coach Matthew Thompson, who held the same position at SRU from 2002-2010. While at Slippery Rock, Thompson amassed a 85-68-11 record and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament Championships in 2005 with a 2-1 win over California and in 2009 with a 2-1 over Millersville University.
On top of being a former coach at SRU, Thompson is a Slippery Rock graduate and played four years at The Rock from 1994-1997.
Current Slippery Rock assistant coach
Iain Langstone coached alongside Thompson for six season at UDC and played under him for four season (2006-09). Langstone was a crucial part of SRU's 2009 PSAC Tournament triumph as he scored 10 points on four goals and two assists in his senior season.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA SCOUTING REPORT
The Firebirds come into the matchup with a 1-0-1 record overall after drawing Goldy-Beacom College, 0-0, followed by a 2-0 win against Seton Hill University.
David Serra paces UDC in points with three through two games after a one goal and one assist performance against Seton Hill. Christopher Ruiz and Isaiah Daniel each have one goal contribution as Ruiz has slotted home on goal and Daniel dished out one assist.
Lorenzo Herrera started both games in goal for UDC this season and has yet to surrender a goal in 180 minutes, while making 13 saves.
