SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team finishes a stretch that includes seven of 10 games played at home with a matchup against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division foe Indiana University (Pa.) 1 p.m. Saturday at James Egli Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Over the past 28 years, Slippery Rock and IUP have played each other 49 times. The matchup has been an annual series since SRU and IUP's inaugural match in 1993. Slippery Rock owns a 27-18-5 record overall against Indiana and a 16-6-3 record at home against IUP. SRU is 6-1-3 against Indiana in its last 10 games against the Crimson Hawks.

SEEKING FOUR STRAIGHT VICTORIES AGAINST THE CRIMSON HAWKS
Slippery Rock will be looking for four consecutive victories against IUP dating back to 2024. The Rock's streak began during the PSAC Tournament, in which they won 2-1 in double overtime, followed by multiple shutout victories last season, 2-0 and 1-0.

Last season, Abby Paterline, Lilia Battalini and Libby Zacharyasz scored one goal each against IUP, while Sophia Palermo assisted on all three goals.

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock took down California (Pa.) with a 6-2 win in PSAC West play under the lights Wednesday night at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Peyton Los scored a brace, while Lilia Battalini, Summer Hill, Lindsey Price and Jilly Deivert all found the back of the net once. Battalini also grabbed two assists as Gianna Revetta dished out one helper.

Los led all players with five shots and landed all five on goal. Palermo, Price, Hill, Battalini and Bailey McGee all took two shots for The Rock, while Deivert, Paterline, Leah Walter and Molly Interthal round out SRU's shot takers with one each.

Leah Allman made her 64^th career start in goal, tying her with Emma Yoder (2018-2022) for the most goalie starts in program history. Allman made one save and surrendered one goal in 64 minutes of action.

Rosie Willmott Joyce substituted for Allman in the 65^th minute and made three saves while also surrendering one goal.  

Slippery Rock ended the game with advantages in shots (19-10) as well as shots on goal (13-7).

ON FIRE AT HOME
Slippery Rock has scored 29 goals this season, with 27 goals coming at home in six home games to start the season, averaging 3.22 goals/game at James Egli Field and Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

LUCKY NUMBER SIX
Slippery Rock scored six goals for the fourth time this season in a 6-2 victory over California (Pa.). The other three games in which SRU scored six goals in victories against Lock Haven, Edinboro and Clarion.

A LOOK AROUND THE PSAC WEST
Slippery Rock regained sole possession of first place in the PSAC West with 16 points after the win. Slippery Rock was tied with Gannon University entering the night on 13 points, but the Golden Knights had played one more divisional game. SRU and GU are now even on games played, as Gannon traveled to Roberts Wesleyan University for non-conference action, resulting in a 0-0 draw.

Lock Haven and Edinboro sit tied for third place in the division on 12 points each, followed by Clarion, IUP and Seton Hill on 11 points, while California (3) and Pitt-Johnstown (2) round out the divisional standings.

FIVE DIFFERENT GOAL SCORERS
The Rock benefited from five different goal scorers and six different players earn points in the victory. Los ended the night with a brace, giving her four goals on the season, tying her for SRU's goal lead with Palermo and Battalini, who scored one goal and dished out two assists against Cal.

Hill, Deivert and Price all scored one goal as well, with Revetta earning one assist.

LEADING THE ROCK
Battalini leads The Rock in points at the halfway mark of the season with 11 on four goals and three assists in nine games played. Los trails Battalini with nine points on four goals and one assist. Deivert and Palermo round out SRU's top three-point scorers with eight.

Paterline, Williams and Hill each have two goals, while McGee, Revetta, Chloe Flynn, and Addison Bell each have one goal.

McGee and Battalini are tied for the team lead in assists with three, while Deivert, Paterline, Price and Eden Williams all have two helpers.

Palermo leads the charge with 26 shots, followed by Battalini with 19 and Deivert with 18. Los and McGee round out SRU's top five shot takers with 17 and 14, respectively.

Madisyn Sedor, a crucial part of Slippery Rock's backline, leads all Rock field players with 633 minutes played respectively (70.3 mpg).

IN GOAL FOR THE ROCK
Allman leads Slippery Rock in all goalkeeper statistics after starting all nine games. Allman has a 1.11 goals against average with a .679 save percentage.

Willmott Joyce has appeared in three games and made four saves in 73 minutes of play.

SURGING UP THE RECORD BOOK
Allman is approaching numerous records among Slippery Rock goalkeepers. The senior currently sits inside the top five in four different categories (goalie games started, saves, wins and shutouts). Allman is currently tied with Emma Yoder (2009-13) for first place and will take the top spot of she gets the start against the Crimson Hawks.

Allman is also just one win from a tie for first, as well as two saves and four shutouts away from moving into third place in the respective categories.

IUP SCOUTING REPORT
The Crimson Hawks got off to a slow start in 2026 with a draw and two losses, but have gone 3-0-2 since, including a 2-1 win over No. 14 Gannon. IUP is looking for its first win over Slippery Rock since 2024.

Zoe Ans-Bitchoka, Kat Morgan and Ayla Cook lead the Crimson Hawks with four points each. Ans-Bitchoka and Morgan each has two goals for IUP, while Cook sits with one goal and two assists.

Junior goalkeeper Sarah Gatz has started six of IUP's eight games, going 3-1-2 with a 0.92 GAA and a .625 save percentage with 10 saves.
