Monday's result moves SRU's record to 3-3 overall. The nationally ranked Vikings improve to 7-1. While Augustana was able to capture the majority the points in the match, virtually every flight was a close contest.

The highlight of the day for The Rock came out of the first singles flight where Amaia Balaguer Brau defeated Florentia Hadjigeorgiou, who entered the match positioned 10th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national singles rankings.

The day opened with Augustana and The Rock trading wins from the second and third doubles flights. AU struck first when Gabriela Jancikova and Simone Karaouza defeated Tina Slovak and Dari Sakhanova, 6-1, only to be countered by SRU's Gabriela del Val del Toro and Nuria Martin Lopez earning a 6-4 win against Smilte Bakyte and Senem Ocal.

However, the doubles point ultimately went to the Vikings after Hadjigeorgiou and Aleksandra Kistanova edged Balaguer Brau and Nicole Kempton with a 7-6 tiebreaker victory out of the top flight.

Augustana opened the singles portion of the match with victories out of the sixth and second flights where Jancikova defeated Georgie Lancaster 6-1, 6-2 and No. 39 Ocal was a 7-5, 6-2 winner against No. 53 del Val del Toro in a battle of nationally ranked athletes.

Balaguer Brau then produced The Rock's lone point of the match with an impressive 6-3, 6-4 victory over Hadjigeorgiou before the Vikings closed the match with wins from the fourth and fifth flights as Garcia narrowly bettered Martin Lopez 6-4, 6-4 and Margarita Chouliara defeated Kempton 7-6, 6-2.
