SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Five members of the Slippery Rock University football team earned All-America honors when the Don Hansen Football Committee announced the Don Hansen Football Gazette Division II All-America team Friday.

Todd Hill was named to first team honors, cornerback
Josh Stokes picked up second team honors and defensive tackle
Munchie Johnson, quarterback
Brayden Long and tight end
Kam Kruzelyak were named to the Honorable Mention squad.

The Hansen All-America team is the fourth of the five major credible Division II All-America teams to be announced this fall with just the D2football.com Elite 100 still to come.

Hill and Stokes add to their All-America hauls this year after Hill was named to both the Associated Press (AP) and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-America teams earlier this week and Stokes was named to the AP team. Offensive tackle
Joe Cooper was also selected to both the D2CCA and AP All-America teams.

Stokes, Long and Kruzelyak are all repeat selections to the Don Hansen All-America team after also being recognized in 2023. Johnson picks up a well-deserved first career All-America honor with his selection to the squad.

The five Hansen All-Americans helped The Rock to post a 12-2 overall record in 2024 that included a trip to the national semifinals and a Super Region One title. The 12 wins tie for the second most in a single-season in program history. SRU took out undefeated No. 1 seed Kutztown and No. 3 seed California (Pa.) on the road in the second and third rounds of the playoffs before closing the season with a valiant effort in a 48-38 loss on the road at powerhouse Ferris State, which is headed to the national title game for the third time in the last four seasons.

TODD HILL – Defensive End – 1st team Hansen / 1st team AP / 2nd Team D2CCA
Hill was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year and picked up first team All-PSAC and All-Region honors in his lone season with The Rock. He led the team overall in total tackles this fall with 82 stops, including 40 solo tackles. Hill also led SRU with 16.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and 13 QB hurries. He forced one fumble, recovered one fumble and had a safety as well. Hill had at least five tackles in all four of SRU's playoff games and was dominant in wins over Kutztown and California to pick up the regional title. He had eight tackles, 1.5 TFL and two QB hurries at Kutztown and seven stops, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery at California. Hill was named one of the eight national finalists for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year award and he finished third in the national voting for that honor.

JOSH STOKES – Cornerback – 2nd Team Hansen / 2nd Team AP
Stokes was named to first team All-Region honors and second team All-PSAC honors this fall and is a repeat selection to the AP All-America team. He paced the SRU secondary with 15 pass breakups this year, which ranks third among all players in Division II. He also grabbed a nation-leading four fumble recoveries this fall, including one that he returned 67 yards to set up a touchdown against No. 2 Ferris State in the national semifinals. Stokes had 53 total tackles and ranked third on the team with 36 solo stops this fall. He closed his SRU career with 35 passes defended to rank No. 7 all-time at The Rock.

BRAYDEN LONG – Quarterback – Honorable Mention Hansen
Long picks up his second straight All-America honor after leading The Rock to the national semifinals and ranking third in the nation in passing yards in 2024. A national finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy as the top player in the country for the second year in a row, Long finished sixth in the final voting to close his career as a top six finisher for the Harlon Hill in back-to-back years. Long completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 3,470 yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions while also rushing for six scores this year. He ranked seventh in Division II in points responsible for and became the first QB in SRU history to have two seasons with at least 3,000 passing yards. Long earned All-PSAC and All-Region honors for the second year in a row and was also the only Division II player in the country to be a finalist for this year's Campbell Trophy, the top academic honor in college football. He leaves the SRU program ranked first all-time in completions and completion percentage while ranking second all-time in passing yards and passing touchdowns after going 24-5 as the starting QB, including a 5-2 record in NCAA Playoff games.

MUNCHIE JOHNSON – Defensive Tackle – Honorable Mention Hansen
Johnson earns a well-deserved All-America recognition after closing his career this year with 53 consecutive starts at The Rock, a tally that ranked him first among all active defensive linemen in the nation. A two-time first team All-PSAC honoree, Johnson finished third on the team in tackles this year with 66 total stops to go along with 14.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also recovered one fumble, had one interception and tallied five QB hurries. Johnson and Hill combined for 148 tackles, 30.5 TFL, 12.0 sacks and 18 QB hurries this year as one of the best inside-out defensive line combos in the country. He leaves SRU with 41.5 career tackles for loss, ranked seventh all-time.

KAM KRUZELYAK – Tight End – Honorable Mention Hansen
Kruzelyak picks up his second straight All-America selection on the Hansen team after previously earning first team All-PSAC and second team All-Region honors this fall. One of the most versatile tight ends in the country, Kruzelyak was vital to the SRU offensive success over the last two seasons as both a pass catcher and a blocker. This fall he caught 40 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns with the biggest TD catch coming late in the fourth quarter of an upset victory at No. 1 seed Kutztown in the second round of the NCAA Playoffs. He caught at least one pass in 13 games this fall and when he wasn't catching passes, he was blocking for Harlon Hill finalist
Brayden Long in the passing game and the dynamic running back duo of
Idris Lawrence and
Chris D'Or, who combined for 1,731 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.
