Todd Hill was named the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year to headline a total of 12 SRU selections to the All-PSAC Western Division team that was announced Wednesday.

All-PSAC Teams

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University defensive end Todd Hill was named the Western Division Defensive Player of the Year and The Rock football team landed 12 All-Conference selections when the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its postseason football awards Wednesday.

Hill, a graduate student transfer and former All-Conference linebacker at Duquesne, becomes the first SRU defensive player to earn the division's top honor since Marcus Martin won three straight Defensive Player of the Year awards from 2015-17.

Hill headlined a total of six first team All-PSAC honorees for Slippery Rock. He was joined on the first team defense by tackle Munchie Johnson. The Rock's offense is represented on the first team by tackle Joe Cooper, tight end Kam Kruzelyak and running back Chris D'Or. Kylon Wilson also picked up a first team selection as a return specialist.

Wilson was also recognized as a second team honoree at wide receiver and is joined on the second team by quarterback Brayden Long, running back Idris Lawrence, linebacker Jacob Snow and defensive backs Eddie Faulkner IV and Josh Stokes.

Johnson, Cooper, Kruzelyak, D'Or, Long and Faulkner all become two-time All-PSAC honorees with their selection this year.

The other major awards in the PSAC West went to California (Pa.) QB Davis Black (Offensive Player of the Year), Cal coach Gary Dunn (Coach of the Year) and Gannon QB Jayden Whitaker (Freshman of the Year).

A look at the season highlights for each of The Rock's All-PSAC selections can be found below.

Slippery Rock is one of two teams in the PSAC West (Cal) and four total teams in the PSAC (Kutztown, East Stroudsburg) to qualify for the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The Rock will open the postseason Saturday at home with a 1 p.m. game against New Haven.

TODD HILL – Defensive Player of the Year  |  1st team DL
Hill led all players in the PSAC West this year with 11 solo tackles for loss and led Slippery Rock with 13.0 TFL and 6.5 sacks on the year. He also ranked second overall on the team with 56 total tackles to go along with a team-high 10 QB hurries. Hill was also responsible for the lone safety recorded by the SRU defense this fall.

MUNCHIE JOHNSON – 1st team DL
Johnson earns his second straight first team honor after tying with Hill for the team lead with 13.0 tackles for loss this fall. He also ranks fourth overall on the team with 48 total tackles to go along with 3.5 sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery and four QB hurries. Johnson is set to make his 50th straight start in the opening round of the playoffs and ranks No. 8 all-time at SRU with 40.5 career tackles for loss.

JOE COOPER – 1st team OT
Cooper earns his second straight All-PSAC honor and moves up from the second team in 2023 to first team honors this fall. The only returner from the offensive line in 2023, Cooper switched sides this year to left tackle and has led an offensive line unit that ranks fifth in the nation in fewest sacks and tackles for loss allowed this year. The Rock have allowed just six total sacks in 10 games.

KAM KRUZELYAK – 1st team TE
Kruzelyak picks up his second consecutive first team All-PSAC honor not just for his ability as a pass catcher, but also for his contributions as a blocker. One of the most important players on the SRU offense, Kruzelyak has caught a pass in every game this year and ranks second on the team with 34 receptions for 281 yards with three touchdowns.

CHRIS D'OR – 1st team RB
Chris D'Or was a second team All-PSAC honoree in 2022 and now adds a first team selection as a senior. D'Or is part of a 1-2 punch with Idris Lawrence that has combined for 1,341 rushing yards this year. He has 658 yards and three touchdowns on 122 carries for 5.4 yards per carry. D'Or also has 21 catches for 203 yards. Last week he became just the eighth player in SRU history with 2,500 rushing yards and 3,500 all-purpose yards in a career.

KYLON WILSON – 1st team RS  |  2nd team WR
Wilson picked up a pair of All-PSAC honors with a first team nod as a return specialist and a second team honor as a receiver. He ranks first in the PSAC and 14th in Division II this year in kick returns, averaging 28.5 yards per return with 598 total yards and one touchdown on the year. Wilson is also the leading receiver for SRU this fall with 42 catches for 529 yards and four touchdowns. His 1,155 all-purpose yards rank first on the team.

BRAYDEN LONG – 2nd team QB
Long earns his second straight All-PSAC award after being named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2023. While his passing numbers are not as eye-popping as last year, much of that is because SRU has thrown the ball significantly less on the way to a 9-1 record. Long is completing 65.3 percent of his passes for 2,360 yards with 19 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He has also rushed for six touchdowns while being sacked just six total times in 10 games this year. Long already owns the SRU all-time career record for completion percentage and enters the playoffs ranked second all-time in completions, fourth in attempts, fourth in passing yards and fourth in TD passes.

IDRIS LAWRENCE – 2nd team RB
Lawrence picks up his first All-PSAC honor after being a multi-time All-MEC honoree at Notre Dame before transferring to SRU for his senior season. Part of a dynamic 1-2 combo with Chris D'Or, Lawrence leads SRU in rushing with 683 yards and five touchdowns on 120 carries for an average of 5.7 yards per carry. He has also caught 14 passes for 166 yards and enters the playoffs this year ranked sixth among all active players in Division II with 3,741 career rushing yards.

JACOB SNOW – 2nd team LB
Snow earns his first career All-PSAC honor in his first year as a starter. He ranks sixth on the team in total tackles with 41 to go along with 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Snow has the lone pick-six of the year after returning an interception 23 yards for a TD against Bloomsburg in week 11.

EDDIE FAULKNER IV – 2nd team DB
Faulkner picks up his second straight All-PSAC award after being a first team selection in 2023. He enters the postseason with 37 total tackles this year to go along with 5.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, four pass breakups and one touchdown. His touchdown was a fumble recovery returned for a score in the season opener against New Haven.

JOSH STOKES – 2nd team DB
Stokes earns his first career All-PSAC honor despite earning All-America honors in 2023. He leads The Rock this year with 10 pass breakups and enters this week with 30 career passes defended, needing one more to crack the all-time top 10 at SRU. Stokes also has 38 tackles and three fumble recoveries this fall with the three recoveries ranking tied for first among all players in Division II.
