Â
Mercyhurst's 1-0 lead vanished in the 60

The 2-1 victory was Slippery Rock's first win over Mercyhurst in seven games and SRU's first win against a nationally ranked team since 2019, when The Rock defeated No. 16 West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Â
The Rock will resume play 1 p.m. Saturday when they travel to Indiana University (Pa.). Slippery Rock defeated the Crimson Hawks, 3-2, earlier this year at home.
