SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team erased a 15-point deficit with six minutes to play in the second half, but couldn't quite complete its comeback bid in an 80-75 double overtime loss to Lock Haven University Monday at Morrow Field House.
Â
With the loss, Slippery Rock's record drops to 12-6 overall and 6-6 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference while Lock Haven improves to 12-5 overall and 8-4 in league games. Monday's defeat also snapped The Rock's 13-game home winning streak.

Â
Following scoreless possessions by each team,

While SRU pulled to within two points on two separate occasions following the decisive LHU run, it couldn't quite come up with a game-tying, or go-ahead basket, as the Bald Eagles pulled away down the stretch en route to the five-point win.

Â
As a team, Slippery Rock recorded 14 blocks, the most in a single-game at SRU dating back to the 1999-00 season. SRU also grabbed 17 offensive rebounds Monday which were turned into 16 points.
