SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University baseball team continues its six-game homestand Tuesday when it hosts Mansfield University for a non-conference doubleheader at Jack Critchfield Park. First pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m.

RECORDS/LAST TIME OUT
• Slippery Rock split a four-game series against Gannon last weekend to move its record in 2022 to 18-8 overall and 5-7 in the PSAC West.
 
• Mansfield, which played a nine-inning game Monday at Kutztown, started the week at 11-17 overall and 4-7 in the PSAC East.

• Slippery Rock has won five of its last six games against Mansfield to improve its all-time record against the Mountaineers to 27-24-1. The two teams last met on April 9, 2019 with SRU sweeping a doubleheader via 11-6 and 9-4 wins.

• Slippery Rock is 14-2 when leading after four innings and 15-3 when scoring five or more runs in a game.
 
• One of the top hitters in the region, Connor Hamilton is currently batting .432 with seven home runs, 27 RBI, a .753 slugging percentage and a .557 on-base percentage. Hamilton leads the PSAC in on-base percentage while ranking second in batting average, slugging percentage and OPS (1.310).
 
• Alex Robenolt and Eddie Morris, SRU's typical No. 4 and 5 hitters in the lineup, have combined to produce 10 home runs and 44 RBI. Morris ranks sixth in the PSAC in slugging percentage (.725) and eighth in batting average (.391)

• Tuesday's games will be the third and fourth contests of the season for Mansfield against a PSAC West team, MU also split an April 5 doubleheader against Gannon.
 
• Mansfield comes to The Rock having scored 5.21 runs per game while surrendering 7 per game. MU carries a team batting average of .247 and a staff ERA of 6.58.
 
• Offensively, Mansfield is paced by Assaf Lowengart, who hits .317 with three home runs, 19 run, 19 RBI, nine doubles and a .377 on-base percentage.
 
• Samuel Freedman is tied with Lowengart for first on the team in RBI while leading the Mounties in both home runs (4) and stolen bases (9).
