WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University field hockey team lost on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference competition to No. 3 West Chester University, 10-0, Saturday.

Slippery Rock exits the weekend with a 7-7 overall record and a 1-5 mark in the PSAC while the nationally ranked Golden Rams improve to 11-3 overall and 4-3 inside the conference.

Claudia Jaszczak scored twice in the first quarter, including the game's opening goal 87 seconds into regulation, to give the Golden Rams a lead they would never relinquish.

WCU finished out the game by adding another goal in the first quarter, three more in the second quarter followed by four second-half goals on the way to the victory.

For the game, West Chester held advantages over The Rock in total shots (37-2), shots on goal (19-2) and corners (13-3).

Slippery Rock returns home to host Indiana University (Pa.) 4 p.m. Nov. 2 on Mental Health Awareness Day at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
