With the loss, The Rock moves to 5-5-2 on the season overall and 2-2-0 in the PSAC West. Seton Hill improves to 7-4-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the conference.

The SRU offense was led by Mo Kanani who scored what would be the lone goal for The Rock on a free kick, for what was his team-leading fifth score of the season.

Contributing to The Rock's offensive attack were Harry Griffin (3 shots on goal), Alejandro Fernandez (2 shots, 1 shot on goal), Joey Moeller (2 shots, 1 shot on goal), Ramses Minaya (2 shots, 1 shot on goal), Samuel Hillman (1 shot on goal) and Arturo Pla Hernandis (3 shots).

In 90 minutes, Goalkeeper Hossam Aly made one save and allowed two goals.

The Griffins got off to a quick start, scoring their first goal in the 10th minute when Archie Lock capitalized off a penalty kick attempt landing a ball out of the reach of Aly. Although The Rock would go on to outshoot Seton Hill 9-5 in the first 45 minutes of play, they would not be able to even the score heading into halftime trailing by a goal.

Coming out of the break, the Griffins quickly returned to their scoring ways with Lock netting his second score of the game at 55:14.

Slippery Rock answered with a goal of its own from Kanani in the 60th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1, but would not be able to connect on the game-tying goal as SRU fired two final shots on goal over the final 30 minutes, both of which were stopped by goalkeeper Nicolas Lancaster as the Griffins held on to the one-goal win.

Of The Rock's five losses this season, four have been one-goal defeats.

SRU held advantages over Seton Hill in total shots (19-8), shots on goal (10-3) and corner kicks (6-3).

The Rock hits the road for a three-game road swing starting at Mercyhurst University 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20.
