EDINBORO, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team won its fourth straight game with a dominant showing on the road Wednesday night to pick up a 95-60 victory at Edinboro University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division game.
Â
The victory gives Slippery Rock five wins its last six games and improves the team to 15-12 overall and 11-10 in PSAC games, guaranteeing The Rock of an above .500 finish to the season for the 11th time in the last 12 years. Edinboro drops its 16th straight and falls to 5-20 overall and 2-19 in PSAC games with the loss.
Â
The win gives Slippery Rock head coach
Ian Grady his 34th career victory, moving him into a tie with West Chester head coach Damien Blair for the most wins by any active head coach in the PSAC over their first two seasons in the league. It also gives The Rock a chance to move up to the No. 5 seed in the PSAC Tournament. SRU needs to beat Mercyhurst at home Saturday and have Cal U defeat Gannon on Saturday in order to move up to the No. 5 spot in the Western Division. If both of those don't happen, The Rock will be the No. 6 seed in the playoffs.
Â
